Principal’s Message

Dear Parents, Guardians, Teachers, and Students,

I hope you are doing well and staying safe in these last days of Term 3.

Firstly, I have some exciting news for our students, staff, and parents. We have now moved into the primary school building from the portables. We are excited to use the space, and we are ready to start face to face teaching in a more comfortable and spacious environment. Our students will find much more space and opportunity to relax and participate in different types of activities on our campus. I am looking forward to participating in activities with students and staff, like playing chess, table tennis, volleyball, and so on. Please find below photos of the new facilities that are waiting for you when you return.

Secondly, congratulations to the Sirius College Cadet Unit for completing Term 3 successfully. What a great job they have done in this difficult time. Well done and keep up the good work. Mr. Ahmad Helou, Mrs. Umran Topcu, and Ms. Bianca Holt have all played an important role in achieving this and I am very grateful for their efforts.

Sirius College students have joined thousands of young Australians who participate in one of Australia’s premier youth development programs. I look forward to celebrating the growth and success of the Cadet Unit in the following years.

Thirdly, I would like to thank our staff, students, and parents for their extraordinary efforts throughout the COVID-19 isolation period to keep everyone safe. I am also grateful for the work, determination, and perseverance of our students, teachers, and parents in this difficult time in order to maintain the quality of education and wellbeing of our students. We all know that this has been a school year like no other for all students, especially our VCE students who are coming to the end of their schooling journey. Our curriculum team and teachers have been working very hard to adjust our students’ learning programs to the changing and challenging circumstances, particularly in remote learning environments. I would like to take this opportunity to wish our VCE students every success in the GAT and VCE exams.

Finally, take care of yourselves, stay safe, and do what is right for you and do not hesitate to ask for help when you need it.

I wish you all a safe and happy term break.

Kind Regards,
Ilhan Eroglu
